New Associate Director of Emergency Medicine at HMC

R. Benjamin Lambert, MD accepted the position of Associate Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hamilton Medical Center. Dr. Lambert is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is also a 2013 graduate of the UT Chattanooga Emergency Medicine Residency Program and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has been a full-time emergency physician at Hamilton since his graduation. For the last year Dr. Lambert has served as the Associate Director of Quality.

Dr. Lambert is recognized for his technical expertise and is a highly respected leader among the physicians, advanced practice clinicians and nurses at Hamilton. With more than 60,000 patient visits per year, the emergency department at Hamilton is one of the busiest in the region. It is a Level II Trauma Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center and an Accredited Stroke Center. He will be involved in the supervision of over 30 clinicians and with all aspects of emergency department operations. His initial emphasis will focus on continued improvement of the patient experience.

Dr. Lambert is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hiking, hunting, and has completed several triathlons. He is engaged to Stacey Weaver and they spend time traveling, listening to great music and keeping up with their three fur babies.

We are excited and look forward to Dr. Lambert's continued contribution to the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hamilton Medical Center.
